Resilient Hearts Refund & Cancellation Policy
At Resilient Hearts, we are committed to providing meaningful and accessible services to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. We understand that circumstances may arise that require you to cancel or reschedule a booked service. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are offered.
Refund Eligibility

Clients may request a refund up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time of their booked session (e.g., life skills programs, respite bookings, etc.).

All eligible refunds will be subject to a $4.5 processing fee deducted from the total amount paid.

Refunds will be issued to the original method of payment within 2–5 business days after approval.
Non-Refundable Conditions

No refund will be issued if the cancellation request is made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session.

Clients who fail to attend without prior cancellation within the 24-hour window forfeit the right to a refund.

Promotional or discounted services are non-refundable, unless otherwise specified in writing.
Partial Refunds & Rescheduling

If a session is partially completed or if the client departs early for personal reasons, no partial refund will be provided.

Clients may reschedule a session one time, provided the request is made at least 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling within 24 hours will be treated as a cancellation and will not be eligible for refund or transfer.

In the event that Resilient Hearts cancels a session or program for any reason (e.g., facilitator unavailability, weather conditions, etc.), clients will be offered:

A full refund (without processing fees), or
-
The option to reschedule to a later date at no additional cost.

This Refund Policy complies with consumer rights as outlined in the Fair Trading Act of Alberta. This policy does not override your statutory rights and is subject to change based on evolving service terms and regulatory requirements in Alberta, Canada.
